Global Culture and Business: France & Germany

The program is a yearlong 3-credit integrated experience with a 1-credit introductory seminar on the European Union, with a focus on French and German culture, language, and business in the fall semester, a 1-credit excursion to Paris and Berlin during Winter Session (early to mid-January), and a 1-credit seminar that builds on the excursion in the Spring semester.
France and Germany are of particular interest to students because their relationship has long been at the center of much of European history. These two countries now form the core of the European Union. Germany is currently the world’s third largest economy, and both it and France are among the top ten trading partners with Massachusetts
This program is restricted to first year students only.
