Chinese Culture and Business: China

Students who are part of this program will first attend a seminar during the spring semester, and then travel to Beijing and Shanghai for two weeks. The seminar will introduce students to the main themes of Chinese culture, the historical context for business in a socialist economy, and the rapid changes that China is encountering with the transition from a command to a market economy. During the two weeks tour in China, students will visit culture and historical sites in several major cities, and visit local businesses and factories to gain insight of the transition of Chinese economy from government owned enterprise to privately held businesses. The tour will also include visits to some spectacular geographical wonders and landscape in China. See the details here.
