Finance Seminar Series Announced

The Finance Seminar Series has announced its weekly schedule of guest speakers for Fall 2008.

The lectures are open to the public and take place on Friday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:00pm in Room 210 of the Isenberg School of Management.

The guest speakers are:

September 5 - Isenberg Doctoral Students Shuang Feng and Liping Qiu will present their research
September 12 - Geert Rouwenhorst, Yale University
September 19 - Daron Acemoglu, MIT (Joint seminar with INFORMS. Time: 11:00am)
September 26 - Xiaoyan Zhang, Cornell University

October 3 - Haitao Li, University of Michigan
October 10 - No Seminar: FMA Meetings
October 17 - David Warsh, author of “Knowledge and The Wealth of Nations”
October 24 - Elyas Elyasiani, Temple University
October 31 - Perry Mehrling, Columbia University. Author of “Fischer Black and the Revolutionary Idea of Finance”

November 7 - Mila Getmansky Sherman, UMass
November 14 - Doron Avramov, Maryland
November 21 - David Ruppert, Cornell University
December 5 - Nelson Lacey, UMass
