Degree Requirements

Effective Fall 2007 and for the class of 2011 and all incoming students.

The undergraduate curriculum is designed to create a foundation in economics, business and management so that students can then apply these general principles to the specifics of the sport industry. Students take a core of courses in the Department of Sport Management and the School of Management as well as other departments.

Internship Track (15 Credits) Total Major Credits = 66

  • One Additional Sport Management Elective - One additional SPORTMGT course at any level (200, 300, 400)

  • SPORTMGT 498 - Practicum (12 Credits) OR SPORTMGT 499K - Honors Internship (6 Credits) AND SPORTMGT 498K - Honors Research (6 Credits)


Grading Requirements

All courses in the major program must be taken for a letter grade; they cannot be taken pass/fail (except for the internship). Students must achieve an overall cumulative 2.0 GPA in their major requirements to graduate from the program.
