McCormack Initiatives


In keeping with the philosophies of Mark H. McCormack the McCormack Initiatives include a way of teaching sport business that promotes innovation in sport marketing and management. With each initiative the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management furthers the legacy of its namesake by continuing to promote the development of innovative models and new educational formats.


High-profile sports industry leaders come to campus during the Executive-in-Residence program giving students access to hearing about the challenges and rewards of the business of sport management directly from the source.


The International Partnerships Initiative increases the dialogue surrounding the international business of sport.


The Oral History Project is working toward cultivating an extensive collection of recordings -- emphasizing the importance of recording, archiving and disseminating the insights and experiences of leading sports industry executives.
