Admission Interview

During the spring semester, selected applicants are invited for a full day on campus. The complete interview process includes an introductory group session, a campus tour, a meeting with current graduate students, individual interviews with faculty committee members, graduate program director and department head, and possible interviews for graduate assistantships.

Typically, seven interview days are scheduled during the period from mid-January to late April, with approximately seven candidates invited for each day. The goal is to select a class of 20 students for fall admission.

Acceptance

Upon completion of the interview, a recommendation is prepared for the Graduate School. The Graduate Program Director submits the departmental recommendation to the Graduate Dean, who makes the decision to accept or reject an applicant. Notification of decisions are made from the Graduate School.
