How to Apply

Admission to the UMass Sport Management master's programs is very competitive and is based on both University and Department requirements. The University requires a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 grading scale, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, official transcripts of previous college work (undergraduate and graduate), a personal statement of goals, a minimum of two letters of recommendation, at least one of which should be an academic reference, GMAT scores and an application fee.

Admission is highly competitive. The average Master's student has several years of work experience, a 3.44 undergraduate grade point average (4.0 scale), and a 612 GMAT score.

Application procedures are fully explained in the Graduate School Bulletin. Application forms for the Sport Management Program should be sent to the Graduate Admissions Office by December 15 for earliest consideration, and no later than February 1 for September enrollment. (the only enrollment semester possible). Due to the fact that applications are reviewed on a "rolling" basis, (meaning they are reviewed as they are received) we strongly encourage applications to be submitted well in advance of the University deadline.
