Biography:

Prior to coming to the Isenberg School of Management, Tony Lachowetz was an Associate Professor of Sport Management at Georgia Southern University from 2001-08. From 1980 to 1983, Dr. Lachowetz was a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ organization – achieving a AAA contract with the Albuquerque Dukes of the Pacific Coast League. From 1983 to 1994, he served as President and co-owner of an industrial maintenance firm.

Academic and Professional Activities:

Editorial board for the Journal of Sport Management.
Published in Sport Marketing Quarterly, IEG Sponsorship Report, Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal, International Journal of Sport Management, Athletic Management, Collegiate Baseball, FIBA Assist, Giganti del Basket BT&M and the International Journal of Sports Marketing & Sponsorship.
Research projects have involved the National Basketball Association (NBA), the FedEx-St. Jude Classic (PGA event), Major League Soccer (MLS), university athletic departments and minor league baseball.
