Laura Canfield, MS '83, earns prestigious Mangan Award












Sports Law Professor Promoted to Dean at East Stroudsburg University

Robert P. Fleischman, Ed.D., J.D., has been named dean of the college of business management at East Stroudsburg University. As a professor, Fleischman taught coursework, graduate and undergraduate, in sports law, marketing and business, and finance, organization and administration of sport organizations and contemporary sports. Fleischman earned his doctorate in educational theory and practice from Binghamton University in 2006, his master's degree in sport management from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst in 1995, his juris doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1985 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with concentrations in organizational psychology and organizational communication from the University of Michigan in 1980.

Jay Monahan, MS '96 promoted to deputy commissioner of the PGA Tour on Tuesday, the first indication of a possible successor to Tim Finchem.

Barry Kessler, BS  '04 established an Internship Scholarship for the Department this year.  He attended the Awards Banquet to present the Scholarship to the recipient Joshua Cocaine, BS '14.

Robert Goodhue, MS '80 and Son Reed Goodhue, BS '14 are one of several Sport Management Legacies.  Robert Goodhue is Special Assistant to the UMass  President for Alumni Affairs in Boston.
