The Department of Sport Management utilizes a cutting-edge, experience-based curriculum to best prepare our undergraduate and graduate students to be leaders in the spectator sport industry. Our large and industry-focused faculty teach fast-paced and lively classes that challenge students to apply what they have learned. Our extensive alumni network, developed over our 35 years of existence, boasts approximately 1,200 alumni that: help students find placement, visit campus to speak about their experiences, and help faculty to continually provide cutting-edge classes.

Julius Erving Meets UMass Alumni at Sixers Center Court
Prior to the recent 76ers vs. Lakers game at the Wachovia Center, Julius Erving meets up with fellow University of Massachusetts alumni, who work for sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.
