As an online student, you have special privileges at the UMass Amherst Library. You can access articles and other materials online, you can speak with a subject specialist librarian and you can order print materials delivered to your home.
Can I double major or minor in an Isenberg degree?
How many hours should I expect to spend on an online course?
You should expect to put in at least ten hours of course work per week for a three-credit course in the fall or spring semesters. Courses are also offered over ten, eight, five and three-week sessions. The shorter the session, the more rigorous the time commitment.
How many credits are required for the Isenberg Online Degree Completion Program, and how many can I transfer?
You need a total of 120 credits to earn your degree. You may transfer a maximum of 75 credits, and you must earn at least 45 of your total credits through classes at UMass Amherst.
How do I drop or withdraw from a class?
Drop - You may drop a course up until the last day of the Add/Drop period. You will receive a refund (the refund will not include the course registration fee).
Withdraw - You may withdraw from a class up until the Withdraw date. A class dropped during this period will be recorded on your transcript as a 'W' and no refund will be given.

Refunds are given for classes dropped during the add/drop/refund period if proper procedures are followed. For more information, see the Refund Schedule and Calendar. The registration fee is non-refundable.
To drop a class before the Add/Drop deadline:
