I think I made a great choice to pursue my BBA at Isenberg. I have managed to get two internships through the school – one with a Big Four accounting firm – so I am very satisfied.

Online classes have the same curriculum as face-to-face classes; same textbook, same assessments, requirements and standards. Online students also get the same one-on-one attention that students get in my face-to-face classroom.

I use the leadership, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills that I developed as a 21-year Air Force veteran to provide the best support and guidance possible to current and potential MBA students. My goal is to ensure every student has a meaningful and fulfilling learning experience.

Successful professionals are flexible, great communicators and life-long learners. At Isenberg Online, everyone has a voice and everyone participates. My favorite part of this is that I get to see students helping other students in the discussion areas.

As the world economy becomes more intertwined, web-based conferencing has become vital to global business. Online education is a great platform to give students practice collaborating with people from different industries and cultural viewpoints, through the use of advanced technology.

Teaching online is very similar to producing a television show. The key is to present the material in a way that makes it entertaining, yet conveys the key concepts.

I have a strong bond with the students I advise. Since I earned my degree from UMass as a non-traditional student working full time, I can relate to the challenges our students face. I have first-hand knowledge of what it is like to juggle work and family responsibilities while completing a degree.

My online classes provide me with a perfect environment to teach finance to my students in a user-friendly manner – interacting actively with them, understanding them, motivating them, encouraging collaborative learning, providing timely feedback, and adapting my pedagogy to suit their needs.

I really enjoy people – the day-to-day interactions I have with my students is very rewarding. I also have the privilege of working with a talented and sincere team of co-workers with whom I learn (and laugh) on a daily basis.

The Isenberg MBA program gave me necessary training to boost productivity in my office and handle the administrative side of a successful healthcare practice. I can see improvements to my practice already – both clinicians and auxiliary staff are working together in a well-managed, efficient and positive environment, and as a result, the patient experience is even better.

It’s convenient and easy to access the materials and get in contact with professors. I’d recommend Isenberg Online to anyone who needs to earn a few more credits during the summer or winter.

The program has a collaborative and flexible format in which students can decide on how and when they learn together. Whether it is through discussion boards, wikis or conference calls, students have the opportunity to interact with faculty and peers.

My connection with students prepares them for their professional journey. In addition to building resumes, interview skills and business networks, I help build confidence and inspire through making connections with those who have “made it”.

Through Isenberg Online, I am able to accomplish what I set out to do. I am happy to say that I am well on my way to my Bachelor’s and possibly my Master’s.

Online instruction allows a student from any place in the world to select a course and choose the learning environment, and gives the independent learner the ability to manage their studies and their personal lives.

I already had a degree in criminal justice and worked as a correctional officer for a few years when I decided I wanted to get a degree in business management to help get a promotion to an administrative job at my facility.

I love that I can help people start their MBA journey on the right foot. Everyone has a different background, certain needs and may require guidance, which I am happy to provide. Ensuring a successful start for a prospective student is my personal mission.

I help Isenberg students hone their skills, navigate university systems, set goals and priorities, build relationships with recruiters and establish strong leadership skills. I get satisfaction seeing students grow into future leaders and like to help them become better citizens on campus and in the community.

Isenberg teaches accounting students that their viewpoints and analysis actually matter when businesses make decisions and form opinions.

Isenberg Online allows me to have a life outside of school, with the flexibility to fit in my studies everywhere.

As Dean, my goal is simple... to help build Isenberg's brand by delivering a transformative educational experience. Let us help you reinvent yourself.

It always amazes me how much Isenberg students support each other. Classmates use discussion boards to ask for help when they are stuck on a problem and there is always someone volunteering with advice or guidance, even though it doesn’t impact their grade. Everyone has an equal voice and group problem solving is encouraged.

Lifelong learning gives you more great offers than you can take. As a recent graduate of the Isenberg Online MBA program, I was asked to consider a faculty position at the Air Force Academy’s Management Department, and I was picked for an international defense laboratory exchange program.

Online teaching for me is exciting. I get a deeper glimpse into how each of my students thinks. I try to formulate class discussions that are thought provoking and encourage students to go beyond the class reading by bringing real world links and current events into the online learning community.

For the past 2.5 years, I have spent a great deal of time reading, reviewing, testing and interacting online with some of the brightest, most diverse group of colleagues I have ever experienced. Our classes had physicians, engineers, company presidents, accountants and members of all branches of the military. The Isenberg experience was both challenging and enriching.

It’s critical that students complement their classroom learning with an understanding of how to develop their personal brand, network in-person and online, articulate their unique value verbally and in written form, and prepare for interviews. It’s our job to provide multiple opportunities to practice and strengthen these skills.

At Isenberg, students get exposed to various models of business strategy. This prepares them to enter the work world ready to contribute and compete, believing that they are as good as any student graduating from the top business schools.

I have found that online teaching makes you think deeply about what you are trying to do when you teach. You have to think very clearly about the goals of the course and how to maximize engagement with the students. You have to see the course from the students' perspectives rather than just focus on the material.

Isenberg provided me with better opportunities, enhanced understanding of business environment and enlarged network of professionals I know. Since starting with the program, I have already moved up to a higher position within my company.

I’m a little like an “academic therapist.” I spend a lot of time listening to the pros and cons of students’ daily routines and classes. This has given me a deep understanding of student’s needs, worries and milestones, and has helped shape the advice I give to every generation of students.

I think we have seen the rapid acceleration of idea generation, whether in products or services; many of these ideas utilize technology. It is critical that business leaders balance product and service development with ethical and environmentally sound practices.

Given that students and alumni rely heavily on social media for news, information, and relationships, I think the work I do makes our community feel a stronger connection to the Isenberg School and to each other.

I truly enjoy the opportunity to work with our client business partners and organizations that hire our students. I connect students with our partners in corporate and non-profit industries. The ability to build strong relationships, based on credibility and trust, is paramount.

By using an experiential and virtual ‘classroom,’ students get an inside view of an industry that is not always captured in a traditional classroom setting. The impact of students’ awareness of an industry via these invaluable learning elements can be a profoundly rewarding experience for both educator and students alike.

The virtual discussion platforms in these classes add to the learning experience of my students by stimulating constructive exchange of ideas, collegiality, innovation, positive thinking and responsible decision-making.

Coming from an Engineering background, which is more technical in nature, the MBA has complimented my skills in terms of handling projects from a practical and business perspective. It has helped me make more meaningful management decisions. I now have many more colors in my palette from which to choose in any administrative situation.

Isenberg has given me a broader lens at how to look at problems my company faces today as well as insight as to how to better navigate what is on the horizon.

Tell me your story, tell me your passion, and let's see how we can learn, think and apply business concepts to help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

Isenberg enabled me to attack challenges head on. It has given me the toolkit I need to do today’s job even better, and to prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities with greater confidence.

Online teaching gives me the opportunity to practice what I preach in my marketing classes – continuously evolving my approach to meet the needs of my students. I tend to tweak my teaching methods to better motivate my students and encourage them to approach learning differently and collaborate.

Overall, I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to challenge themselves, learn a lot and meet great people along the way. I would do it all over again in a minute. I had a great time and learned more than I would have ever expected.

I have been a part of Isenberg since we first offered online classes. Being part of that experience showed me just how valuable Online Education can be; I've worked with many students and faculty over the years and by providing them with the support they need to be successful in the online world has been very rewarding.

I focus on providing my students with an on-campus experience in an online format by encouraging interaction and active learning, providing prompt feedbacks, and encouraging cooperation among students.

There are many that I can think of but bringing my 12-year old daughter with me to the MBA reception and graduation ceremony was the highlight. To have her be proud of my accomplishment, along with friends and family, was priceless. It made her understand how valuable education is no matter what age, race, gender, or financial status. That was a life-changing moment for both of us.

Many people don’t understand how close and well-networked Isenberg Online students are to each other. Over the course of the program, they come to know each other very well and often initiate life-long friendships and professional relationships.

Definitely look into Isenberg Online! The class I took was very efficient and I wouldn’t hesitate to take another one.

I work with staff and faculty to bring new academic offerings to our students, and build relationships with our constituents and partners. As an alum of Isenberg, I have first hand knowledge of the curriculum, and have seen it grow over the years. I really believe in what we are doing here.

As an Isenberg MBA alum, this really is my program, so my goal is to make sure that students and my fellow alumni can always be proud of Isenberg.

I am taking Isenberg online classes to fulfill the requirements for my Engineering Management minor. Through Isenberg Online, I can take classes at my convenience.

I started the Isenberg program in my 50’s. For me it was a chance to “retool” and sharpen my business skills and provide intellectual stimulation.

Isenberg Online courses allowed me to spend a semester interning in Boston while continuing my academics and earning credits toward graduation.

Learning can’t take place in one direction; students and teachers must hold hands together, support each other, trust each other, and respect each other.

My online teaching has the same priority as my face-to- face teaching. I enjoy the challenge of meeting students from different backgrounds and nationalities.

I have consulted to over 200 organizations in twenty countries on how to improve performance and have co-authored 5 books which have been translated into more than twenty languages. I have taught at the Isenberg School for 25 years, and have also taught in Greece, Poland, Portugal, Vietnam and China.

I value belonging to a strong network of dedicated professionals and made many wonderful connections while completing my MBA through Isenberg Online. I live and work in San Diego, and I made sure to come to Amherst for graduation so that I could meet my professors and classmates in person.

Oddly, Isenberg Online can seem more personal because of my regular email exchanges with students and the quality of our discussions. I love the way my students talk to each other in my online classes, sharing experiences and congratulating each other on accomplishments.

In some ways, I feel like I get to know the on-line students better than the on-campus students. Through the use of frequent discussion posts, we create an environment of mutual learning and sharing where all students participate, and that is hard to replicate in the classroom setting, where some students are shy to share their thoughts and experiences for many reasons.

There is also a camaraderie that develops between Isenberg online students. You are not only learning and working through projects together, but many of the classes also provided opportunities to discuss current business issues and events.

I believe our outstanding advising services sets us apart. I ensure that students, from start to finish, have the best possible experience. For me, advising goes beyond helping students chart an academic plan -- it’s about relationship building. Many of the students I’ve worked with over the years have become friends.

I think we are living in an interesting time, when we are really exploring the role of business and capitalism in our society. My hope is that, as an institution, business education will produce leaders who can redefine the definition of profit and use business as a vehicle for promoting ethical and meaningful change in our world.

I entered college right after high school and then life happened! Isenberg afforded me the opportunity to work, pursue my education, and still be a nurturing mother. I am truly grateful for the empowerment Isenberg has given me as a single mom.
