Isenberg Grad Makes Mark in Sports Casting

Jenny Dell '08
(Hospitality & Tourism Management), who became NESN (New England Sports
Network)'s Red Sox sideline reporter earlier this year, describes her career preparation at Isenberg and UMass
Amherst in a Q&A with SportsTVJobs.com. Dell combined an HTM degree with a second major in Sport Event
Marketing. After graduation, she joined ESPN as an administrative assistant,
and then moved on to production assistant before hosting fantasy sports
segments on ESPN.com and traveling on special assignments like the Super Bowl
and Winter X Games. Dell noted that her approach to getting hired after
graduation involved making the most of personal connections.
