Time Commitment

On average, online courses typically carry a time commitment of approximately nine to eleven hours per week, per course.

Students are also expected to maintain regular course participation during the semester by visiting their course website on a regular basis (typically 2-3 times per week).

The Degree

Is there a difference between an MBA earned on-campus degree vs. online? No, an MBA earned online from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management will be granted from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and will not contain any references to "online" on the diploma or transcript.  The only difference is that with an online program, you do not have to physically attend classes.  You can take classes from the comfort of your own home and reduce travel time and costs typically associated with traditional brick and mortar on campus classes.
