Marketing Department Announces Spring Semester Speaker Series
Fri., Feb 1, 2008
The Marketing Pro-Seminar is held every other Friday from 10:30am to 12:00pm in room SOM 108. Professor Iyer is the head of the marketing department and coordinator for the marketing pro-seminar.
Everyone is welcome to attend the pro-seminar. The seminar has two primary purposes 1) to allow current doctoral students in the marketing field to present their current research in order to gain feedback from both professors and students, and 2) to offer exposure to research being conducted by professors within other departments at UMass and other universities. For the springsemester we are fortunate to have guest lecturers from MIT, Univ. of Rhode Island, Suffolk University, Boston University, UMass/Amherst and Bentley College.
The marketing pro-seminar is conducted each year during both the spring and fall semesters. The organization of the seminar is a presentation format (typically one presenter) with question and answer opportunities. The pro-seminar serves as a collegial atmosphere where students and faculty can gather together to network, improve current research efforts, and explore new project opportunities. Abstracts of presented papers are made available prior to the seminar date.
