MKTG 425 - Sales & Distribution Strategy

CitizensMatch & Valley Elder Services

Students in this class will be learning personal selling through a hands-on, "real world " project. They will be assigned to four teams, each of which will be trained and then will be selling a program called "CitizensMatch" which was created by Highland Valley Elder Services, a Pioneer Valley non-profit elder care agency. The program involves the recruitment of businesses and other entities in the Pioneer Valley to participate in the circulation of Citizens Dollars, a currency issued by Highland Valley which is used to pay some elder care providers in lieu of cash. The program is not only designed to enable Highland Valley to provide more elder care, but is also directed towards supporting the local economy by keeping money and trade flowing within the local area.

This course has a maximum enrollment of 25 students.
