Isenberg MBA Program Ranked 7th in Greatest Opportunity for Women

For the fifth consecutive year, The Isenberg School of Management's Full-Time MBA Program ranks in the Top 10 Best Business Schools by Princeton Review.  This year, Isenberg is ranked 7th nationally in the category, Greatest Opportunity for Women, according to Princeton Review's just-published The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition. Among the top ten ranked programs in that category, the Isenberg School placed second among business schools in New England.

"The Isenberg full-time MBA program is a phenomenal program for women, with a very strong sense of community between female students, professors, and alumnae," emphasizes Daniele Mathras, who earned an MBA degree from the school in 2009.  Mathras was president of the school's Women in Business Club, which cultivates networking opportunities and other resources for women MBA students.

The Greatest Opportunity for Women category is based on the percentages of female students and faculty. It also includes student assessments that evaluate resources for female students, cultural support for female students, opportunities for coursework involving women entrepreneurs, and the availability of course case study materials that proportionately reflect women in business.

Greatest Opportunity for Women is one of  11 top-ten categories in the Princeton Review survey, which avoids a single overall ranking for MBA programs. In its general description of the Isenberg MBA program, the survey commends its affordability, small class sizes, student camaraderie, faculty accessibility, and dual degree options in sport management, public policy administration, and four different engineering disciplines.

The Isenberg School has also received elite rankings for its Part-Time MBA program. In Business Week's most recent rankings, the School's Part-Time MBA program ranked 5th in the Northeast and 29th in the nation.  The program serves over 900 students at sites in Holyoke, Shrewsbury, and Pittsfield as well as online in fifty states and around the globe. In a second national survey-this one conducted by Modern Healthcare magazine-the Online Part-Time MBA program ranked 12th in the nation among business graduate school programs attended by physician-executives.
