Isenberg School HTM Professor to Receive Top Teaching Award

Linda SheaLinda SheaLinda Shea, a professor in the Isenberg School's Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM),  will be honored this July with the 2010 John Wiley & Sons Award for Innovation in Teaching. Shea will receive the award at the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and International  Education's (I-CHRIE) annual summer conference, in San Juan, Puerto Rico (July 28-31).


"The award is the HTM discipline's highest honor for teaching excellence,"  notes Haemoon Oh, Head of the Isenberg School's HTM department. The award recognizes the implementation of innovative, creative, and effective teaching techniques in hospitality education at the high school, diploma, or college/university level. The John Wiley & Sons Award is Professor Shea's second major honor this year. In April, the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools presented her with its 2010 Graduate Faculty Teaching Award.
