Summer Abroad Program

The Summer Abroad Program is designed to give students exposure to the international dimensions of the hospitality & tourism industry through experiential learning. The program is open to HTM majors, all Isenberg students, UMass students, and other college students, upon approval.

The program design combines academics and European travel. Classes are integrated into the program by weaving academics assignments into fieldwork experiences. Students may remain at the end of the program to continue traveling on their own.

See Europe and Earn Credit during the Summer!!

The HTM summer abroad program has been going to Europe for over 20 years.  Spend about three weeks in London, Paris, and Italy, earn 6-9 HTM upper elective credits (or satisfy Isenberg "breadth requirements), with free travel during the long weekends.

The program begins in London on May 14 for 4 days, then we go to Paris for 4 days, and then to Italy for 4 days, with long weekends available to travel to other locations. The program cost is $4,395.  (See our Facebook Page for more information.)  The program is being led this year by Professor Robert Wilson, and we will have Info sessions to provide more information about the program, weekend trips, costs, things to do, etc.
