The HTM Online Certificate Program

 

The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Isenberg School of Management, Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) offers two online certificate programs for non-matriculated, distance learners.

 

What the HTM Online Certificate Program is-
A credit-based, online certificate program that equips distance learners with knowledge and skills to help them succeed in the Hospitality and Tourism Management industry. Each requires the completion of five online courses.

What the HTM Online Certificate Program can do-
Create an opportunity for working individuals to supplement industry experience they may already have, and give career changers a base to build on to get started in their new, service oriented profession.

 

**Please note:  The HTM online certificate programs are not designed for students currently enrolled in or who have graduated from our Bachelor of Science degree program.** 

 

Online Certificate in Casino Management

-Designed to provide students with an opportunity to study the casino industry.
-Legal and regulatory aspects of gaming are studied along with the relationship between the casino industry and tourism environment.

Online Certificate in Meeting & Event Management

 

-Prepares students for a career in the meeting and event industry.

-Instructs students in all aspects of event and meeting management.

-Topics cover appropriate meeting sites, pre-event publicity and marketing, audio-visual aids, budgeting, negotiation, and contracts.
