Assistantships

Teaching Assistantships

Some students may be awarded a funded teaching assistantship (TA). Primary duties include assisting HTM professors in the presentation of undergraduate courses: preparing for class, lecture notes, labs, quizzes and exams, etc. TAs also support the department by spending some of their time staffing the department's Resource Center or Computer Lab.

Research Assistantships

Less common than the teaching assistantships, this funded position allows students to work directly with HTM professors in their research activities: theory development, research design, data collection and analysis, etc. RAs also support the department by spending some of their time staffing the department's Resource Center or Computer Lab.
