Isenberg Professor Honored with Alternative Investments Award

On December 1, Isenberg finance
professor Thomas Schneeweis became
the first recipient of the Annual Award
for Academic Excellence and Alternative Investment Research, a new honor from
The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA). At CAIA's third annual awards ceremony in New
York City, Schneeweis was commended for "his extraordinary vision for the
global alternative investment industry and his commitment and passion for
academic achievement at the highest level in alternative education."
Schneeweis is the Michael and Cheryl Philipp Professor of Finance and a founding board member of CAIA. Thanks to his leadership, CAIA has become a recognized think tank for academic and industry thought leaders, noted the organization. CAIA's role as a rich depository of ideas, it continued, gives it an edge in promoting professional development in the alternative investments industry through continuing education, innovative research, and advocacy of high standards of professional ethics.
