Bio
Steven Gill (Steve) is a Ph.D. student in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Econometrics at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
He received a BS in Accounting from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and an MS in Taxation from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
Prior to matriculation at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Steve worked for 12 years in the field of accounting including five years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and roles as internal auditor, corporate accountant and subsequently reaching the position of Vice President of Finance. Industry experience in public and private accounting includes airlines, specialty chemicals, medical instrumentation, utilities and various service industries. He has also worked in both an SEC/public company and privately owned corporate environment.
Research and Teaching Interests:
His research interests include taxation in a capital markets setting including mutual fund taxation and implicit taxes.
