Recent News about Isenberg in the print and electronic media
Isenberg's second annual Business Leadership Awards gathering, on June 18 at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston, was a high-energy milestone in the school's rising reputation and expanding national footprint. Three hundred alumni joined Isenberg faculty and students in a premier networking opportunity and celebration of Isenberg's unique culture. They also honored two alumni, David Fubini '76 and Christina Calvaneso '03.
Three Isenberg marketing professors-Easwar Iyer, George Milne, and Elizabeth Miller-excelled as co-chairs of the American Marketing Association's annual Marketing and Public Policy Conference in Boston on June 5-7. The Conference, at the Omni Parker House, attracted over 200 participants, including attendees from academe, industry, and the policy world. An associated doctoral seminar on June 2-5 at Isenberg drew 43 participants, including eight nationally prominent faculty members and 35 doctoral candidates.
Graduate students in the sciences and engineering at UMass Amherst are gaining state-of-the-art business skills through a new program offered by the Isenberg School of Management and the Graduate School. The The Business Foundations Series for Scientists and Engineers, offered free-of-charge to master's and Ph.D. students from June 4th to July 30th, comprises eight weekly one-day workshops, each devoted to a different applied subject area. Each workshop is taught by a different Isenberg faculty member, most of them senior professors.
