Bio
Megan is a Ph.D. candidate in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
She received a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing, and an MBA from the University of Vermont.
Her more specific research interests include environmental behavior and related decision making, and the antecedents to and consequences of pro-social consumer choice. She is currently working on her dissertation, which focuses on the determinants of environmentally friendly consumer choices. She has taught Consumer Behavior at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is teaching Introductory Marketing online for Champlain College in Vermont.
Additional Information
Between degrees, Megan worked in event management, public relations, and, most recently, direct mail catalog management. Her interests outside of school are a mix of old and new. A competitive alpine skier for more than a decade, Megan still enjoys spending time outside during the winter. In addition to skiing, she now enjoys ice climbing, telemark skiing, and a decent game of pond hockey.
When there isn’t snow on the ground (and sometimes when there is!), Megan spends her time mountain biking, running, white water kayaking. She also volunteers (with her Golden Retriever, Barley) for Intermountain Pet Therapy, taking Barley to local children’s hospitals. She is currently living in Salt Lake City, Utah, while her fiancé completes a fellowship in hand surgery.
