Bio

Elizabeth Siler is a doctoral student in Organization Studies with a minor concentration in Culture and Representation.

Elizabeth grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and Comparative Literature from Boston University, where she co-founded the first a cappella singing group on campus. Her MBA is from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked in human resources for an insurance and financial services company and a non-profit research and development organization. She has also worked for arts organizations, a department store, and (very briefly) a law firm. She has an intermittent yoga practice, is a fan of taiko (Japanese drumming), and spends time at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston.

Research and Teaching Interests:
Her research and professional interests include strategy and governance in non-profit organizations, time, knowledge transfer, art and aesthetics as a way of understanding management and organizations, and critical management studies.
