Daphne has B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and Rice University respectively. She has worked for the federal government and several U.S. and international telecommunications-industry organizations.
Her research interests are in the areas of the relationships between businesses and communities, women's issues and work, poverty alleviation, the worker cooperative organizational form, and feminist studies. She is currently teaching Organizational Behavior (Management 330). Daphne participates regularly in Academy of Management activities including symposia, professional development workshops, caucuses, and as a reviewer. She is also a participating member of several other professional organizations such as the American Sociological Association, Working Class Studies Association, Society for the Study of Social Problems, and International Association for Feminist Economics. Daphne is an adult education tutor in the Holyoke Community College (Holyoke, MA) "Transition to College" program.
