Welcome!

We invite you to visit SOM 207 – we offer a friendly place where you can get help in the Writing Center speak to SOM 310 and 390 instructors, and practice your writing skills. We serve SOM undergraduate and graduate students, so all are welcome.

We’re located right next to the Undergraduate Programs office and we’ll be happy to show you the ways we can help you improve your writing and speaking as you work your way through your degree program. As long as you are a SOM student, you can bring in any writing from any UMass course!

Also, if you need help with a résumé, scholarship essay, or internship bio, we are the place to come to. While you are taking one of the junior year writing courses, we hope you’ll visit frequently to get feedback on your papers and to learn to revise and edit effectively. SOM students of all levels may visit for assistance with their writing and speaking assignments.
