Innovation Projects
We create interdisciplinary, multi-perspective Innovation Teams of faculty and graduate students in science, engineering and management, clinicians and outside experts to develop nascent technology through iterative improvement. Each team is structured to address issues and answer questions regarding the technology’s commercial viability. For example, in the course of a project a team may:
- Research intellectual property issues
- Estimate market potential
- Assess the competitive environment
- Evaluate alternative commercialization strategies
- Identify likely commercial partners
Our first innovation teams have been formed and are beginning work on two promising technologies. These projects will be completed in May 2005.
To suggest a technology for consideration as a future project or to find out how to participate on a team, contact Soren Bisgaard.
