Isenberg School Friend Receives Distinguished Achievement Award
Before introducing Michael Philipp to the Mullins Center audience, Dean Thomas O'Brien introduced long-time Isenberg School supporter Harold Grinspoon, who earlier in the day had received a Distinguished Achievement Award at the UMass Amherst Graduate School Commencement ceremony.
"Along with Harold Alfond, Harold Grinspoon is one of my two 'Harold Angels,' quipped Dean O'Brien. "It was Harold Grinspoon who provided early seed money for the School's Flavin Professor of Entrepreneurship - for Jim Theroux's award-winning innovations in entrepreneurship education. And it was Harold Grinspoon who provided the donation that put fundraising over the top for our magnificent new building wing." he continued.
