Alumni Involvement with our Students:
A Critical Ingredient in their Success

Our 35,000 alumni are the Isenberg School's greatest asset. Locally, nationally and globally Isenberg graduates demonstrate again and again how important the school is to them by getting involved with our students, and staying involved. Here are some ways that you can get involved.
Speak to Students/Share your Expertise
Come back to campus and share your knowledge and experience with today's students. Be a guest speaker in the classroom or of one of the School's 29 student organizations.

Host a Site Visit
Invite students to your business and expose them first-hand to what you do. A site visit can include a tour, lunch with you and other staff/alumni, and/or an information session. We will work to identify students who are interested in visiting your business.

You can help a student understand what they need to do to find a job, reach a career goal, be competitive, and succeed in their chosen field. These are skills that aren't necessarily learned in the classroom.

Sponsor an Intern
When you, or your employer, sponsors an intern you have a valuable opportunity to "try out" Isenberg students as potential employees. Students gain valuable experience from working on special projects and you benefit from temporary assistance.

"You're all young and curious. Let that be your guide. It might ultimately serve you better than immediate upward mobility in your career," Ed Shirley '77 told a classroom of marketing students. One of dozens of alumni speakers in Isenberg classrooms during the 2008 fall semester, Shirley is vice chair of Global Beauty and Grooming with Procter & Gamble, the planet's biggest consumer goods firm.
