The University of Massachusetts Amherst has announced a $10 million gift from longtime supporters Douglas '71 and Diana Berthiaume to create a world-class Center for Entrepreneurship at Isenberg.
"Considering the accounting profession's importance to capital markets and investors, you're going to have phenomenal opportunities for career growth," Brian Croteau '83 told accounting students during his campus visit on April 8th. the Isenberg alumnus is Deputy Chief Accountant of at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Professional Practice Group in its Office of the Chief Accountant. He is also the key point person in the SEC's oversight of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, which watches over the audits of public companies.

In a presentation at Isenberg on April 2nd, accounting alumnus Peter Franklin '83 shared a behind-the-scenes look at Coca-Cola's sponsorship activities for the Sochi Winter Olympics and the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Franklin is Coca-Cola's Group Director for Worldwide Sports and Event Management.
Isenberg now ranks 36th in the nation in BusinessWeek's just-released annual Best Undergraduate Business Schools survey. Isenberg's current ranking rose nine places from 45th in 2013 and six places from 20th to 14th among public business schools.
