Festive Graduation Ceremonies Highlight Isenberg & its Students

Isenberg graduates made their mark in ceremonies and celebrations on Commencement weekend, May 9-10. Isenberg graduates included 1,014 seniors, 370 MBA students, and 12 Ph.D. candidates.
Isenberg Awards Banquet Celebrates Students, Alumni, & the School's High-Energy Culture

Isenberg's annual Awards Banquet on April 29 at the Log Cabin Meeting House in Holyoke was a celebration of stellar students and the generous alumni and friends who helped create scholarships for 190 of them. If you include scholarships awarded at Isenberg's accounting banquet on April 18 and its Mark H. McCormack Sport Management banquet on May 1, Isenberg alumni and friends funded $305,000 in scholarships this year.
Isenberg and UMass Amherst Campus Energized by TEDx Talks

Isenberg and its students played a major role in UMass Amherst's first-ever TEDx (Technology, Entertainment, Design) UMass Amherst Talks, held at Mahar Auditorium and Isenberg on April 13. Inspired by the well-established national and regional TED Talks, the 8-hour event attracted over 400 students and many members of the region's business and idea communities (including faculty members and entrepreneurs).
Dennis Hanno is Isenberg Accounting Alumnus of the Year

Dennis Hanno'90 Ph.D. CPA, Graduate Dean and Vice Provost at Babson College and former Associate Dean for Undergraduate Matters at Isenberg, will be honored on April 18th by Isenberg's Department of Accounting as its Alumnus of the Year. Since leaving the School, Hanno has remained true to his accounting and Isenberg roots.

Mark Peecher, Professor of Accountancy & Deloitte & Touche Teaching Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will discuss his paper, Auditor Tacit Knowledge and Audit Firm Capital Development, at the Isenberg School of Management in room 106 on September 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
