The UMass chapter of Net Impact hosts Sam Antar for an event on Business Ethics, with a special focus on white-collar fraud.
Sam Antar is a former CPA and the former Chief Financial Officer of Crazy Eddie Inc., an electronics firm. In the 1980s, Crazy Eddie was involved in one of the largest securities frauds of its time. Sam was the government's key witness in both civil and criminal prosecutions, and fully cooperated with all civil plaintiffs in the prosecution of their claims.
Having experienced first-hand the costs of securities fraud, including the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars that cost many people their life savings, and the loss of jobs and careers, Sam now works full-time to educate the public and society about white-collar and securities fraud.
