The Accounting and Information Systems Major
The undergraduate accounting major for the first two years includes a program of general education requirements for all University students. The junior-senior years include a required core of business background courses and a number of required courses in accounting, law, and computers. Each student in the Accounting & Information Systems major is required to include a minimum of 24 hours (8 courses) of accounting. However, the course of study is flexible and provides for a number of elective courses. This flexibility permits students to design programs to meet individual needs and prepare for the numerous career opportunities available through accounting.
