Isenberg School and its Programs Reaccredited

Thu., Dec 22, 2005
The Isenberg School and its programs have earned reaccreditation for five years from AACSB International, the gold standard among business school accreditors. The five-year accreditation covers all Isenberg School programs on undergraduate and graduate levels except for the School’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program, which receives accreditation from a separate body. In parallel with the rest of the Isenberg School, its Department of Accounting and Information Systems received its own supplementary accreditation, a separate AACSB distinction for college-level accounting programs.
The School’s reaccreditation followed a thorough review process that included formal self-evaluation and review by representatives from peer institutions. The process emphasized academic quality and continuous improvement through adherence to the School’s stated mission and objectives. The Isenberg School first earned AACSB accreditation in 1963. Currently, it is one of 515 member AACSB-accredited institutions, of which 167 have additional specialized accreditation for their accounting programs. Eighty of AACSB’s accredited members are schools and programs outside the United States.
