Important Pre-Registration Information

Before registering for MBA courses, please review the important student information below:

Unable to take a course this semester?

As a matriculated student (formally accepted) in the MBA Program, you are required to take a minimum of 1 course during the Fall and Spring semesters to maintain your active student status (continuous registration).

Students who are unable to take a course during those semesters must pay a Program Fee to maintain continuous registration.  Students who does not pay this fee by the appropriate deadline and later seeks readmission or applies for graduation, will need to pay the accumulated program fees plus a readmission fee.

Please contact the Graduate Programs Office if you are unable to take a course during the Spring and Fall semesters.

Taking your Last Class?

If you are nearing the end of your program (taking your last class this semester), it is very important that you complete and submit your Degree Eligibility Form below before the deadline indicated.

How To Register for Classes

Registration for all Online Part-Time MBA courses is processed through UMass Amherst Continuing & Professional Education. Registration can be completed several ways - online, phone, fax, in-person or via SPIRE.  At the time or registration, regardless of method, you must identify yourself as an ACPE member in order to receive your online course discount.

Using Tuition Waiver

Completed Tuition Waiver form must be presented at the time of registration and apply to course fees only (not registration fees). Tuition waivers are not retroactive and will not be accepted once your registration has been processed.

There is a minimum non-waiver enrollment capacity requirement for all classes (both live and online) before students using waivers will be registered for classes. When CPE receives your registration, it will be placed in a pending registration file and as soon as your course reaches its minimum capacity requirement your registration will be processed. You can confirm your course registration using your SPIRE account.
