Women in Business

WiB stands to provide opportunities to explore issues of gender in the business environment, to educate members of the Isenberg and Amherst community about relevant business topics, and to involve the UMass Amherst campus and community in working towards gender-free cooperation in business.

To reach this objective, WiB strives to:

• Assist the women of Isenberg in creating a network of successful women including current students, professors, alumni, and local businesswomen.
• Strengthen the lifelong network of every participant, with a focus on robust connections with other females in that network.
• Provide a forum for discussing important issues facing women in business.
• Enable participants to learn about gender-specific experiences of other successful women in the workplace.
• Foster ideas for students’ career interests by learning about real life experiences of alumni women within various careers.
