Start Classes
Before Applying

The UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management Part-Time MBA Program invites you to start taking courses before you formally apply to the program. You can take up to six credits of coursework (typically 2 courses) as a non-degree student before applying to the program. As long as you earn a grade of B or better and classes have been taken within three years of the semester is which you are accepted in the program, they will be transferred to your graduate record.

It is important to note that the Graduate School allows a maximum of 6 credits to be transferred to your graduate record upon acceptance in the Part-Time MBA Program. Please be sure you do not register for additional classes until you have applied and have been formally admitted into our program.

All core courses with no pre-requisite requirement are equally appropriate for beginning the program, however, we recommend you begin taking the courses listed on the right column of this page.

Join us, consider taking a class next semester! See our courses here.

If you need help selecting an appropriate course or have any questions, please contact our office at 413-545-5608 or email gradprog@som.umass.edu.
