Online Program Specifics
The UMass Amherst Isenberg Online Part-Time MBA program is the most flexible option for today’s professional. As one of the first major accredited business schools offering graduate education online, we are recognized today as a leader in offering a high quality MBA program that can be completed entirely online. There are several hallmarks of the Isenberg Online Part-Time MBA that have made us stand out and lead the field in online business education.
- No on-campus visits required – The entire 37-credit degree program can be completed entirely online from anywhere in the world. There is no on-campus residency requirement.
- Asynchronous – The courses are structured so that you are not required to be at your computer at a particular time of day or week. Students in the program are from the 50 US States and 15 foreign countries, lending great diversity to the discussions in cases and group assignments.
- Outstanding Faculty – The same Isenberg faculty who teach the full-time program in Amherst also teach in the Online Part-Time MBA.
- Accreditation - Our Online Part-Time MBA program is accredited nationally and internationally at the highest standards by the AACSB, the leading accrediting body for Collegiate Schools of Business.
- Comprehensive Curriculum– Each Fall, Spring and Summer terms the entire core curriculum is offered online. This allows students to move through the program as quickly as their personal schedule allows.
- Flexible Class Formats- If you live near one of our Massachusetts satellite campus locations (Holyoke, Pittsfield, Shrewsbury) you have the option of taking courses "live" in a traditional style classroom format as well as online - whatever suits your own personal learning style and schedule.
Time Commitments
On average, online courses typically carry a time commitment of approximately nine to eleven hours per week, per course.
Students are also expected to maintain regular course participation during the semester by visiting their course website on a regular basis (typically 2-3 times per week).
