UMass Email Requirement

Every student who registers for a course offered through the University of Massachusetts Amherst is required to have a UMass email account (aka UMail). The University will use this address for official communication. Policy information is available here. When you register for a course during the initial registration period, the Office of Information Technologies (OIT) will send you an email with instructions on how to establish your UMail account. If you register for a course(s) after the registration deadline, you will need to contact OIT and speak with an Account Manager to receive instructions regarding the setup of your email account.

If you do not establish and/or maintain an active UMail account, there will be a "hold" placed on your account that will prevent you from registering for future Part-Time MBA courses. If you have any questions about setting up your email account or any problems creating this account, etc., please contact the Help Desk at OIT: 413-545-9400 and request to speak with an Account Manager or visit OIT here.
