Graduate Minority
Mentoring Program

The Isenberg School of Management values diversity in all forms, evidenced by the many efforts and initiatives it employs to support our minority students. One of our most important initiatives to date, the Graduate Minority Mentoring Program (GMMP) was created as an innovative partnership with alumni, students, other campus organizations, and corporate mentors. GMMP was created to promote the successful academic and professional development of our students of color. This program was developed to assist the many ALANA students at Isenberg.

GMMP’s focus is to provide students with the professional rewards of a successful business career. By fostering a mentoring relationship between minority business leaders (within our alumni community) and our current ALANA MBA’s, we are paving the way for our students to form long-lasting partnerships that will propel them to succeed in every aspect of their careers.

Our alumni share their expertise with the MBA students, offering them their guidance and support concerning their professional futures. In turn, the MBA students pass this knowledge on (as they themselves are mentors) to undergraduate minority students, ensuring that they are aware of the opportunity of a career in business.

We are confident this formalized mentoring program will serve not only to enable our current students to succeed, but also to increase the interest of minorities in business fields and the corporate world.
