Meet Our Students

  • Outstanding Faculty Isenberg MBA faculty are nationally recognized as excellent teachers, researchers, and consultants. Professors bring impressive work experience and academic credentials to their teachings.
  • High Quality Curriculum: The Isenberg MBA Program is a 55-credit, 2-year residential program. The first-year curriculum emphasizes the core business knowledge necessary for success in a summer internship, a key step between first and second years of the program. The second year allows students to focus in specific areas of professional interest and obtain valuable real-world experience during a semester-long consulting project. The Isenberg MBA program is accredited by AACSB.
  • Personal Program: Isenberg students collaborate on their academic work, strategize their career goals, and grow together both inside and outside the classroom. Students are confident and self-driven. Faculty know the MBA students as individuals and understand their academic and professional interests. The program integrates individual and team work, which creates lifelong professional and personal friendships.
  • Tremendous Value: The Isenberg MBA remains one of the greatest values in graduate business education. 80% of full-time students apply for and receive full assistantships, which promote working in collaboration with Isenberg professors on current research and classroom activities. In exchange for this work, the student receives full tuition and fees, a bi-weekly stipend, and comprehensive health insurance.
  • Career Success: Isenberg MBA students have consistently performed successfully in their internships and jobs. This is accomplished through corporate connections at the Isenberg School and University of Massachusetts, as well as through job search preparation including Professional Seminar, a required career management course, and the Chase Career Center.
  • Extensive Resources: The University of Massachusetts is a world-class university known for its outstanding graduate education and research. The University’s many graduate courses, including engineering, public policy, and computer science, provide MBA students an opportunity to focus on an area of interest outside of the Isenberg School through second-year courses.
  • Quality of Life: Amherst is conveniently located in the Five College Area of Massachusetts, which includes the University, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College, and Smith College. The major cities of Boston, New York, and Hartford are nearby, as are the scenic mountains and coastlines of New England. Western Massachusetts offers the best of New England, with many recreational activities close at hand, urban sophistication within an easy drive, and affordable living in picturesque small towns or larger cities. The Amherst area also offers good restaurants, sports, theater, and music as well as professional opportunities.
  • State-of-the-Art Facility: The Isenberg MBA program is housed in the University’s 47,000 square foot Alfond Management Center. The Center offers state-of-the-art learning facilities including breakout conference rooms for smaller group discussions and team work, interview rooms for on-campus recruiting, and a graduate student lounge.
