Financial Aid

Isenberg Assistantships
Interested in building up your business experience while paying for your degree? One and two year assistantships are awarded to a significant number of MBA students, to cover tuition and most fees. Additionally, students with assistantships are provided an annual stipend, of approximately $7,700, for their work as Research or Teaching assistants. Assistantships offer exceptional opportunities to work closely with Isenberg professors and apply knowledge on current business issues. To read about examples of current assistantships click here.

National Society of Hispanic MBA Assistantship
A generous two-year assistantship for a full-time MBA student will be the centerpiece of a new partnership between the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA). The assistantship, reserved for a U.S. citizen of Hispanic origin with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, will cover tuition, curriculum fees, and a generous stipend. This two-year assistantship will be awarded to a new recipient each year.
UMass Amherst Assistantships

Externships
Externships provide the opportunity for students to gain relevant work experience off campus and also receive a tuition and curriculum waiver. While externships are an amazing opportunity, they require a significant amount of initiative and planning on the behalf of the student. All questions regarding externships should be directed to Graduate Assistantship Office.
