Students participate in the core curriculum designed to provide a rigorous foundation in a wide range of business topics and skills. The MBA core is made up of 11 classes (34 credits).
At Isenberg, we have a flexible program design with one- or two- year residency options to best meet your career objectives. Students explore their academic interests through advanced coursework, pursuing their area of focus with electives at Isenberg or throughout the UMass Amherst campus. They can also craft their own approved independent study to fully customize their academic focus.
In addition to taking elective courses, students can put theory to practice in an experiential learning-based consulting project (6 credits) with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. These projects allow students to apply their business knowledge and solve complex issues with a group of colleagues.
Depending on the academic plan, the Isenberg Full-time MBA degree ranges from 37 credits to 52 credits. Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average throughout the life of the program to graduate.
